Proud City: LGBTQIA+ Edinburgh

Proud City marks 10 years since the exhibition Rainbow City: Stories from Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Transgender Edinburgh opened at the City Art Centre. The exhibition provides an insight into LGBTQIA+ history and explores the lives of people living in Edinburgh today. Proud City showcases museum collections items loaned and donated by the LGBTQIA+ community as well as a specially commissioned film exploring life in Edinburgh in 2016. The exhibition has grown from an outreach project with LGBTQIA+ communities in Edinburgh with support from LGBT Health and Wellbeing. The project and exhibition has been funded by the Museums Association’s Transformers scheme (supported in Scotland by Museums Galleries Scotland).
